A model Journey

You can see where it started off as a rough cut piece of MDF. I spent many hours sanding and filing to get the shape to be amorphous, and then many hours still just trying to get the symmetry perfect. And after sanding, I sanded some more with a finer sand paper to get the surface smooth and prepared for priming and then painting.

an improvement could be to design the handle in a way that screams out "grab me" to the user, so maybe spmething like finger contours

to further improve this design, you could add an indication to where it is meant to be held. Maybe a grip in the middle or if not, a groove that tells the user to hold it in this area.

  9. the dumbell is structured in a very organic form with well balance and harmonious features of the curvy look which is appealing to the overall shape. It also has the sleek smoothness and feel to the object where the user can be more engaged with. However, an improvement: could it be more rounded on the outer edges of the two sides for a more 'exercise/dumbell look' in the product?
